The project
The privilege of the address
The building is located near the heart of Ville d’Avray. Its geographical position, its population, and the activities that take place there make this location highly attractive. This peaceful, harmonious, green, and very elegant town offers an excellent quality of life. It is within this favorable environment, close to the city center, in the heart of the Fausses-Reposes national forest, near quality shops, pedestrian paths, and small trails, that EMERIGE and FRANCE LOGIS have chosen to construct a residential building to create a unique place where life is pleasant.
Challenges
To make this address a welcoming and distinctive place, a youthful and dynamic reference where moments of life unfold: a desired place.
Objective
To create a unique setting nestled within a very specific context: a green haven. To shape a strong interior architecture concept for the layout and decoration, establishing a meaningful connection with its surroundings.
The concept
To be surrounded by nature in the heart of the city is the exceptional setting these residences offer. The call of nature has guided the design process. It therefore seemed obvious to us to develop a strong concept centered on the notion of well-being, creating a complementary dialogue between nature and interior spaces. A true dialogue of materials and colors, our spaces are designed in a highly graphic and simple way to highlight volumes and textures, while introducing movement and dynamism to convey a strong identity.
From this strong concept emerge three themes:
The line
Our construction principle is based on the line. It serves as a nod to the veining of leaves. Positioned either vertically or horizontally, it gives rhythm to the spaces. With a pronounced color, it is arranged both in plan and in elevation to create spaces defined by precise and rigorous layouts.
The complementary color
Beige, a natural color connected to nature, is used here in shades of sand and greige. With these soft pigments, the walls, reminiscent of fabric, respond to and capture life.
Reflection
Increasing dimensions, capturing light, and bringing nature inside are the desired effects. We use mirrors to create plays of reflection.
The lobby
Intensity, dialogue, and harmony.
Through its connection with the porch, the lobby, though small, offers a beautiful volume. Our goal is therefore to create a bold interior design in harmony with the exterior façade and its relationship to nature, where materials engage in dialogue. A delicate terrazzo floor, dominated by natural tones, brings vibrancy to the space and interacts with the brick façade that continues indoors. The use of mirrors enhances the sense of perspective while reflecting the surrounding landscape and its natural elements. Beige lines, both horizontal and vertical, accentuate the composition.
The landing
Natural, geometric, distinctive.
The floor landings are an extension of the lobbies. Like them, they evoke softness and lightness through the materials used. A delicate interplay of lines runs along the walls thanks to applied wooden slats that enhance the perception of height. The ceiling is animated by brass light fixtures.
